1. About the Service

HassApps provides an online service that allows users to convert longer URLs into shorter HassApps URLs.

The service may also provide a QR CODE, an optional user-provided QR title and a private monitoring page containing basic usage statistics.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By submitting a URL for shortening, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms of Use and the applicable Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create or use a HassApps short link.

3. User Responsibility

The person creating a short link is responsible for the destination URL submitted to the service and for the way the short link is used or distributed.

HassApps does not create, control or endorse third-party content merely because a URL to that content has been shortened through the service.

4. Prohibited Uses

The service must not be used for:

• Phishing, fraud or attempts to steal credentials
• Malware, viruses or malicious software
• Links intended to compromise devices, accounts or networks
• Spam or abusive automated distribution
• Impersonation, deliberate deception or misleading users about a destination
• Content or activity prohibited by applicable law
• Threats, exploitation or harmful activity
• Attempts to bypass security, access restrictions or service limits
• Automated creation of excessive numbers of links
• Any activity intended to damage, disrupt or overload HassApps

5. Short-Link Codes

HassApps automatically generates the code used in each short URL.

Users do not own a particular short code and may not demand a specific code.

Codes may remain reserved even after a link has been disabled and may not be reused for another destination.

6. QR CODE and Optional Title

Users may optionally enter a title for the QR CODE generated with a short link.

The user is responsible for the text entered as the QR title and must not use the title to impersonate another person or organization or deliberately mislead recipients.

When the title field is left empty, the downloaded QR image is generated without an additional title or HassApps branding.

7. Private Monitoring Link

HassApps may provide a private monitoring URL for each short link.

The monitoring URL allows access to available statistics such as total visits, creation date and the most recent use time.

HassApps is not responsible for access resulting from a user voluntarily sharing or exposing their monitoring URL.

8. Link Statistics

Visit statistics are provided as a convenience and should not be treated as guaranteed analytics data.

Counts or timestamps may occasionally be delayed, unavailable or affected by technical issues, automated traffic or maintenance.

9. Reporting Short Links

Users may report HassApps short links that they reasonably believe are being used for prohibited activity.

Submitting a report does not automatically disable the reported link.

HassApps may review reports and determine what action, if any, is appropriate.

False, abusive or automated reporting may itself be restricted.

10. Disabling or Restricting Links

HassApps reserves the right to disable or restrict a short link when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or third parties.

This may include links associated with:

• Security threats
• Fraud or phishing
• Malware
• Serious abuse reports
• Legal requirements
• Excessive automated use
• Violations of these Terms

HassApps is not required to preserve access to a link that has been disabled for security, abuse prevention or legal reasons.

11. Free Service

The core HassApps URL Shortener is currently provided free of charge.

HassApps intends to keep the basic shortening service accessible, but may introduce reasonable technical limits, security controls or optional features as the service develops.

Additional features or future services may have separate conditions.

12. Advertising

HassApps aims to provide a clean and useful shortening experience.

Public HassApps pages may contain advertising or other website monetization features.

HassApps may change how advertising is displayed provided that such changes do not alter the destination selected by the creator of a valid short link.

13. Third-Party Websites

Short links may redirect to websites or services operated by third parties.

HassApps does not control those external websites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability or security.

Users should exercise normal caution before entering personal information, credentials or payment details on any destination website.

14. Service Availability

HassApps works to keep the URL Shortener available and functioning properly.

However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting problems, security incidents, network failures or other technical reasons.

15. No Guarantee of Permanent Links

HassApps does not guarantee that every short link, monitoring page or QR-related feature will remain available indefinitely.

Links may be disabled when required for security, legal, operational or abuse-prevention reasons.

16. Sensitive Information

Users are responsible for checking whether a destination URL itself contains sensitive information before submitting it.

17. Privacy

Information associated with use of the service is handled in accordance with the HassApps URL Shortener Privacy Policy .

18. Limitation of Responsibility

The service is provided as an online utility.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, HassApps is not responsible for losses or damage caused by third-party destination content, misuse of a short link, exposure of a private monitoring URL, temporary service interruption or reliance on link statistics.

19. Changes to the Service

HassApps may improve, modify or remove features of the URL Shortener as the service evolves.

Security rules, link limits and abuse-prevention systems may also be changed when necessary.

20. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service, security requirements, legal obligations or operational practices.

The last-updated date shown at the top of this page will be revised when appropriate.
